My husband, Nick, and I always wanted a pup of our own. When we first started living together, we spend the occasional weekend dog sitting the senior dogs we grew up with. Naturally, they had much less energy than your average puppy and were so calm and easy to look after.
When the time was right, we began our search for a puppy of our own. The one that would greet us at the door when we came home and the one that would snuggle up to us after a long day. We met a lady online (like all good stories begin) who was selling puppies. Since she was located 3 hours from our condo, we opted to Facetime her to check out the pups. They were all so tiny and cute but ultimately we settled on the small, quiet, boy in the yellow collar.
When we went to pick him up we were instantly in love! We packed the car with towels and a toy and we stopped at every rest stop on the three hour ride home just to let him out. To our surprise, he did not pee once. He simple curled up to me in the back seat during the drive and followed us around in snow covered grass at every stop. We took him to the pet shop near our condo so he could pick out a bed, and that is where we finally settled on the name Beau. Beau then proceeded to sleep on the floor in the store and we had to carry him out on his bed like he was the prince of the world. As soon as we returned to the condo, Beau got out of the car and peed for a minute straight on the grass. Nick and I swear that he came potty trained.
The rest is history! You can follow along on our journey through our TikTok and check out some of our best pet finds and Beau’s favorite things all on our page. We hope you find our lifestyle entertaining, humorous, and relatable (please!). Thank you for following along <3
